-Upgraded 12v converter with 3-stage battery charger,
-Upgraded to 30-amp service with long outdoor-grade cord,
-Added exterior cord storage, (increases internal storage room, provides easier access),
-Added over/under voltage protection circuit (protects equipment and A/C from burning-out due to campground electrical problems),
-Canvas replaced once by previous owner (has no tears, no leaks),
-Added front stabilizing jacks and outside equipment/parts storage,
-Added 12v electric tongue jack, (original manual-crank tongue jack for backup),
-Added custom tow lighting adapter (works with 4-way or 7-way plug),
-Newer awning, bag-type, great shape, no tears/leaks,
-Added LCD TV (newer type with digital tuner) with custom tilt/swivel ceiling mount and pop-up external antenna,
-Added radio/CD/memory card stereo & speakers (and wiring to play TV sound thru the stereo),
-Added DVD player (with ceiling mount),
-Original working remotes for stereo, TV and DVD player,
-Upgraded interior lighting to dual fluorescent fixtures, porch and entrance lights converted to LEDs,
-Added interior and exterior power outlets,
-Added interior and exterior 12v power outlets,
-Added fluorescent and hi-intensity exterior lighting, also underneath LED lighting,
-Added wireless keychain remote-control for the exterior lighting,
-Original roof-mount A/C with heat-strip (great condition, blows cold),
-Custom reinforced A/C cover mounting,
-Original propane stove in the flip-up galley, replaced galley countertop,
-Re-worked manual-pump fresh water system for sink,
-Good battery with custom kill-switch inside a mounted marine-style battery box,
-Recent new tires and rims in great shape, also spare tire with cover,
-No damage to frame or undercarriage or anything (never been in an accident or hit anything),
-Re-worked custom roof system latch,
-Specialized chuck for a drill to raise the roof, or manual crank, (roof system regularly lubricated and inspected, no rust or fraying),
-Add-on custom gutter system for the roof (drains away A/C condensation so it doesn't drip onto the canvas sides),
-Add-on custom solar shields to attach to tops of canvas sides (keeps interior MUCH cooler),
-Includes a nearly-new Adco cover (if you need to store the camper outdoors),
-Includes a good-quality full-size air mattress (if the original mattress is too thin/firm for you),
and others. Has been well-maintained and only lightly used over the years.
Many of the upgrades/add-ons have been to equip the camper for "dry-camping" or "boondocking" (camping in the middle of nowhere without power or water hook-ups) for at least short periods (all lighting, internal and external, even stereo, DVD and TV run on 12v) and manual-pump fresh water system in the sink, (bring along a hassock-style toilet or "luggable loo" and cooler for food, and for longer stays where there's no facilities, get an inexpensive outside privacy cabana and solar shower, and you're set). Even the A/C could be run by a modest generator, if camping where generators are allowed. Otherwise, it's also great for taking to campgrounds with electric and separate bathroom/shower facilities, as-is.
Very lightweight camper (955lbs. empty), can probably be towed by even fairly small cars.
Current owner has been camping at campgrounds between Fort Lauderdale and Central Florida probably about 3 - 4 times a year for the past 6 years (it's great at the Disney Fort Wilderness campground!) and is selling only because of upgrading to a slightly bigger camper. A few stains and signs of normal use, but thanks to being garage-kept, it is structurally completely sound and in excellent shape. A perfect camper for someone wanting the next step up from tent camping (and then some, thanks to all the upgrades and add-ons).
MUST SEE TO APPRECIATE!
Camper is available for showing evenings and weekends. Cash-only, face-to-face sale only. Considering the good shape it's in despite its age and the dozens of upgrades and add-ons (some were hundreds of dollars each) the price is firm. Please reply via e-mail with a number to contact you, and we'll make arrangements from there. And if the ad's still here, then the camper's still available. (I will take down the ad as soon as it's sold, so you don't need to send me an e-mail to ask if it's still available.)
