Let me introduce you to Winnie (Winnie the poo after the reg, WNE - and the big yellow bear…) This is our much loved Camper that we’ve had for over 12 year. She is a 1973 VW camper T2 Westfalia Continental, in remarkably original condition (quite rare) The camper has only got 48050miles from new, which is backed with a stack of old MOT’s and service records dating back to the mid 70’s. And She is finished in, arguably the best color, Marino Yellow. This is a good camper - but not perfect and needs some bits doing in some areas. But it is a sound body with no welding needed and mechanically in good condition too. Our situation changed and we spent some time overseas and so the ‘Winnie when into dry storage for 7 years. Unfortunately, we find it is time to sell her as we can’t give whine the life it deserves – she really needs a loving home with a family to enjoy new adventures together. We decided that if we were going to sell her, then the new owner might want to do the finishing touched how they want to; as I know we would to. it both gives you a chance to personalize (trends change over the years) it, and save some money on the initial purchase. So - If you know your VW campers you’ll know they are mechanically robust but can suffer from rot. So, approximately 10 years ago it underwent a significant restoration and respray. Included were all relevant welding and new panels, including but not limited to: new front panel, new jacking points, steps, wheel arches doors, rear quarters and other patching. undersealing The color was changed from light blue to Marion Yellow (a far superiors colour in my opinion)and it was a good job, 10 years on and there are a couple of areas that are showing some signs of age but on the whole – it is a very good job. The Continental rear interior is in very good condition and nearly 100% complete. Including a pop top with new canvas and a double bed in the top, a full width ‘rock and roll’ bed that sleeps.
