Here for sale is our lovely old Commer Autohome. Bought in 2007 and used for a few years, it was sent away to a Commer specialist to have the metal work and autohome body fully restored. We no longer have time to finish this van so are reluctantly putting it up for sale. It’s F reg (1968) but has the later auto home body and dash. Over £13k spent on restoring the metalwork and completely rebuilding the auto home section (see photos). Has electronic dizzy and relatively new carb. It hasn’t been started for 11 years so will likely need new piston rings and will definitely need a rewire and brakes seeing to. Comes with: cooker/sink, cushions, 4 spare wheel rims 4 hub caps, some ply for lining New seals for windscreen and doors Windscreen is with it but not fitted. Ladder for Luton bed area. Good points: All metal work restored and replaced All woodwork and aluminium panels replaced restored in camper section New seals for windscreen and doors Wing mirrors fitted Not so good points: Will need an engine rebuild. Hasn't been started in 11 years Will need brakes sorting out Will need a rewire The seals need replacing on the Luton window. This is a project that has solid foundations to make in to an excellent classic camper. Ready for someone to finish off knowing metalwork and auto home body are solid and completely rebuilt.
