Considering swapping or selling our T4 coachbuilt motorhome " Vincent" for a T4, T5, T5.1, Vito camper with a poptop. Bought in 2020 we used it loads then we found the rot 😪To cut a very lengthy 12mth story very short, All the rot was cut out and replaced, new thicker ali roof, brand new skylights fitted, new ali trim and rubber side trim fitted, later front bumper, badgeless grille, wind deflectors, brand new fermina wind out awning, Audi a8 winter alloys with commercial tyres. Im not an expert and the job isnt perfect BUT its bloody dry, ld say 1 of the driest wooden framed coachbuilts out there. 2.4 engine with 76k ish mileage its had a turbo conversion done and yes it makes a massive difference no guessing at junctions or stuck behind trucks on motorways, it could do with the 5th gear mod for motorway use. Full set of Sash HD shocks, dropside rear springs for a much less willowy drive it feels very planted the 8j alloys probably help with this. Although outside is 90% done this is still a project the sills will need attention the cab paint isnt the best after it got splashed with the coach paint used on the motorhome body. The interior needs work l had planned on ripping it all out to change the layout and fit more modern equipment, solar panels and a full rewire for better off grid use after all its nearly 30yrs old. However its still very useable the kitchen area needs the majority of the work it really would look better with modern lightweight furniture board using the originals as a template. Im not sure how to value it but ld say around 10k ish as it stands it has an agreed value on the insurance for 15k. Im open to a swap for a similar value t4 but ld prefer a later T5.1 something l could use daily no moon miles though, not bothered about a kitchen area etc prefer a full width R&R bed, poptop bed and some storage units I have loads of photos and videos of the work done as l have said its NOT perfect but its a very respectful.
