1961 Airstream Bambi - Our 16ft trailer camper was manufactured at the Airstream California factory and is number 52 of number 248 ever produced. This was the first production year Airstream made the famous “Bambi” Model. Lightweight and easy to tow at 200 lbs tongue weight and 1875 lbs. It has all new tires and wheel bearings and all the tow lights work on a 4-prong connection. Details:-Mostly all original piece of historical vintage trailer. We call it the Lil’ Turd. -Original Airstream paper of authenticity, and clean CA Title/register in my name - Plumbing was upgraded with a new water pump in-line with Pex and Sharkbites . The original air water pump applies air pressure to the original aluminum water tank, it is there and works but is disconnected. All plumbing works. I have not tried to use the propane original hot water heater, but it’s there. - Original propane interior light, stovetop, heater, and propane fridge light on propane - Toilet is clean and working and has a small black tank, Grey water drains out- Bathroom shower pan was painted with an epoxy white paint - Interior walls were cleaned and painted professionally with Behr Cabinet white paint- Interior cabinets and wood was stained with a Burgundy color gel stain and matching hardwood floors were installed - Cabinet drawers and doors all work and are cleaned out - The couch pulls out to be a bed. There is brand new foam, but currently we use bed sheets on them because we couldn’t decide that fabric to use, so its up to the new owner! I also have original curved mattress in my garage if you want that, but we liked the high density foam- There is an cot that goes above the bed, I have the bars, but I don’t have the fabric for the cot- New Interstate 12v 3EE battery with warrantee - 12v interior lights work, camper lights and outlets also works when plugged in-Custom one-of-a-kind rear bumper with spare tire carrier, can carry 2 jerry cans (I left them on last camp trip :( but military cans fit in bumper holders), and leveling stands on bumper-Door handle was rebuilt and comes with 3 keys to lock it-The window glass is all new on the windows, with new trim gaskets from vintage trailer supply.-There is some “character” (or exterior dings) as we call it from the last 60yrs. It has shine, but could easily be more with a polish. -An awning can be added as they are about $350 online-The camper is very clean, and special. -The original sub-floor is good, it’s been in Southern California.- It’s ready for your interior design and vibe! We cleaned it all out to sell.-I am happy to answer questions, show photos, send video, ect. I can maybe even deliver if you buy it before Thanksgiving as we head up to Napa for Thanksgiving, it’s ready to roll and camp. You can pick it up or I can help meet shipping company in Encinitas, CA.-We priced this camper below its value and are confident its a great opportunity for the next owner, everyone smiles when they see the Lil Turd
