1966 Airstream Overlander This is a beautiful, fully renovated, 26ft 1966 Airstream Overlander for sale at $75,500- negotiable (appraised for $88,500 in June 2023). It has a clean title with no lean. Sleeping 5 comfortably, the functionality of this trailer for a family (or individual) is well thought out. Rear bathroom, converting queen bed in the front dining area, 2 burner gas stove top, fireplace (functional for heat), air conditioner, bunk bed and single bed/reading nook, and a 30-amp service shore power connection are some of the highlights of this travel trailer. There is a large freshwater storage, large grey and black tanks (brand new with new plumbing), and the highest quality batteries and inverter keep power flowing efficiently and safely on any excursion. With a vintage and period correct exterior balanced by a tasteful and updated interior, this 66' is a must see and uncommon find on the market today. Full restoration was performed by the previous owner in 2022, with some additional work done after purchase (April 2023). Body/frame: fully inspected in April 2023 (Avalon RV)- rust free and solid structure- frame off restoration from previous owner with new subfloor throughout and new insulation- frame- fully painted and well maintained- belly pan well intact and in good condition- some spots replaced/patched - weight distribution hitch points mounted in proper location in accordance with safety and towing guidelines- body panels are very nice- there are a few minor imperfections from previous ownership (note you will not find a vintage airstream with a 100% flawless exterior). Entire trailer shines up to mirror finish- rear bumper-no storage as there wasn't any for this year in the bumper specifically- body panel seals- the entire trailer was inspected in April of 2023. All inspections/work performed on the entire trailer in April were completed by Avalon RV in Benicia, CA (highly professional shop with both quality work and years of service to stand by- one of the best shops for vintage airstream restorations around). No leaks found, all seals either cleared or touched up already.- all window glass- great condition and fully functional, seals all appropriate- front window metal travel guard in place Axles/wheels: Avalon RV noted axels in good condition- original - tires/wheels in very good condition- retorqued and fully inspected in April 2023- bearings- re-greased and additional dust cap replaced. very good condition- full, brand new, spare tire/wheel mounted underneath by front hitch with easy-to-use dropping bracket (standard in newer trailers and best for weight distribution) Lights (outside): ALL functional- yes even the reverse lights (if you know vintage airstreams, this is not a common find)- seals all good around Refrigerator/freezer: Vissani - works great, electric operating- compact refrigerator-freezer (model: MDFF7SS) Stove top: Gasland Chef- 2 burner gas stove- works great, all gas lines pressure and leak tested in April 2023 by Avalon RV Air Conditioner: Dometic- works great- fully checked in April 2023 Heating: performed with electric fireplace- tested in April 2023- can use for ambiance (with heater turned off) or to generate heat for trailer with switch turned on for blower (works very well to heat trailer throughout) Fans: 2 ceiling fans inside and one vent over entryway- all work great- tested April 2023- fans have 2-way function (inflow or outflow) depending on desired application Gas (propane): 20lbs tanks x2 on front hitch- fully tested in April 2023- all gas lines pressure/leak tested and fully functional/safe for operation- supplies range and water heater (everything else in trailer is electric) Water heater: Excel tankless/vent-less water heater- this is a vent-less, propane water heater- works great, small and allows for non-venting (look up brand and the wide use of these if you're unfamiliar with this type of heater- they are great)- supplies both sink in kitchen, bathroom, and shower Plumbing: 28 gal fresh water holding tank (located in front of trailer under front bench seats- 29 gal grey tank (brand new April 2023) - 25 gal black tank (brand new April 2023)- plumbing all extensively checked over, flushed and flood tested completely- zero leaks throughout- fully cleared by Avalon RV in April 2023- all new ABS piping into tanks and under trailer for discharge of tanks, tanks placed in proper locations to maximize flow/ground clearance and functionality Batteries/Inverter/Battery monitor/wireless dongle controller: 2x Battle Born batteries (100amp hour 12v) / Victron MultiPlus Compact Inverter (12v / 2000va / 80amp) / Victron Energy BMV-712 Smart battery monitor- top of the line electrical components here- fully tested April 2023- everything fully optimized with electrical system to get the most use and functionality from equipment- top efficiency achieved by Avalon RV- breaker box inline, all connections linked to battery monitoring system, LP detector, and operational charging of batteries when plugged into tow vehicle- Victron Inverter dongle installed and setup for easy control of system via smartphone and Victron Energy app (works great)- this is an expensive system, and anyone who knows RVs/trailers knows the value of this electrical system Additional: trailer equipped with (and properly tested) rear braking system- as long as your tow vehicle has a brake control kit- new break-away coiled cable installed- proper electrical hookup for tow vehicle- trailer jack newly installed (manually operational)- all accessory panels on outside of trailer work well (everything locks)- new deadbolt installed This is a unique, one-of-a-kind trailer, ideal for many different applications whether that is a family, working from the road, an AIR B&B setup, extension of your home, etc. Please come take a look.
