You can’t depend on your flight but you can depend on an Airstream!”READ BEFORE BIDDING: If you are new to eBay or have under 10 feedback and would like to purchase this Airstream, please contact Nathan at 260-498-XXXX and let him know before hitting Buy it Now. NOTE: This unit is listed on consignment and is located at our shop in Fort Wayne, Indiana. We will offer free delivery to customers within 75 miles of our shop.Up for sale is a vintage and very rare 1984 Airstream 345 Limited Edition Executive Motor Coach, featuring a Chevy 454 big block engine with a 400 Turbo Transmission and approximately 35,000 miles since new. This incredible unit comes from its second owner, and was ordered from Airstream in 1984. Since then, the coach has been meticulously maintained with oil changes and other routine maintenance as needed. This motor coach was primarily used for executive travel and glamping by its former owners. When not in use, the coach was stored in a garage. This 345LE has a futon sofa and two chairs around the coffee table in the galley, featuring seatbelts to make it easy to carry people along for the ride. This RV gets approximately 8 miles per gallon, and is one of only several hundred built, making it incredibly rare and unique. Overall, it is in excellent shape for its age and was well loved, with only minor cosmetic “love marks” that most motorhomes of this age have (see pictures). It underwent a major service in 2021/2022, which included a full engine rebuild and cooling system replacement. As such, it is in great running condition and ready to hit the road for a big adventure! The 345LE is known for its extremely spacious and luxurious interior and its Airstream aluminum exterior. There is no other motorhome on the road that receives as much attention as an Airstream. The original MSRP was $141,784.00, the equivalent of $306,620.94 in today’s dollars. Given that this is one of only a few hundred, this motor coach is likely for a traveling family or collector that is looking for something different and unique from other motorhomes. This collectable, custom built 345LE Airstream motor home is aerodynamically shaped with a riveted aircraft type aluminum body construction with aluminum wheels. The coach is equipped with a full towing package, which the previous owners used to tow a small car with them. Included on board is an Onan 6500 GenSet Emerald Plus generator in excellent running condition, two roof air conditioners (the front one will need a new blower motor), two powered vents, leveling jacks, a 3 way refrigerator and freezer which recently was replaced with a newer unit and is in excellent working condition, am/fm cassette player (not functioning), back up camera (doesn't display an image), microwave oven and four burner range. Beautiful both inside and out, with only minor staining to the carpet and minor denting on the outside (visible in pictures). The oak interior cabinetry also presents extremely well. In addition to replacing many of the mechanical parts, the 3 onboard marine batteries were also replaced in 2021.We tested the water systems and they are in working order with no leaks. The unit includes a kitchen and bathroom sink as well as a shower. Inside the interior, it features factory blinds and oak cabinets. Keeping with originality, the front sofa converts automatically into a queen-sized bed with the flip of a switch, facing two club swivel chairs and a coffee table. In the master bedroom, two twin mattresses are easily accessible in the rear of the coach, with original cedar-lined closets. Heating and A/C works in the rear of the coach, but will need to be worked on in the front cabin (both the front roof AC and driver's AC is not functioning). The bathroom has a high end commode, all the original countertops and sink, large mirrors and a separate shower. There is some minor water damage behind the sink nozzle. The Galley has a four-burner stovetop, microwave, refrigerator/freezer, built-in spice rack and amazing storage. The dining area also folds down into a small bed. All the countertops in the kitchen are in great shape, specially engineered to be both visually stunning and long-lasting. All cabinets are solid oak, not pressboard. Overall the exterior is in great shape considering the age. It has some peeling of the clear coat and minor dents/scratches but presents quite well overall. Noteworthy are the light scratches on the front right quarter panel, right rear quarter panel (as well as paint flaking and slight scraping on the bumper cover, which could be repaired pretty easily), some scrape marks on the rear left near the window. The tires are older, but have plenty of tread life left. We would suggest replacing them and can help arrange replacement. The front left plastic bumper cover has damage which was unprofessionally prepared but isn’t that noticeable unless you are really paying attention. The front fog lights are missing their glass covers.Having dealt with many older Airstreams, it is extremely rare to find one without any "love marks", and I can't remember ever having one that didn't have at least a few minor blemishes! I've done my best to highlight any known blemishes, and I'm happy to say that this beast has less than the average ~ 40 year old coach! There are only a few known, minor flaws which remain to be sorted. The cruise control isn't currently working, the old backup display turns on but doesn't display an image. There a few small dents as well as some paint flaking on the stripes which is noticeable in the pictures. We bypassed the current wiring for the retractable steps and were able to get the stairs to open and close, but the wiring needs to be repaired in order to use them. Additionally, the leveling jacks have not been tested, however the previous owner says they do work.We do have this RV listed for sale locally and we reserve the right to end the listing early in the event that it sells. For more pictures, details, or to make an offer, please call or text Nathan at 260-498-XXXX.All in all, this is an awesome vintage Airstream Motor Coach for the enthusiast that wants to camp tomorrow, turn it into an Airbnb or for any other purpose!Clean and clear title in hand. A $500 non-refundable deposit is required within 24 hours of auction end, via PayPal or wire transfer. SELLER’S DISCLAIMER: THIS UNIT IS NEARLY 40 YEARS OLD. ISSUES MAY ARISE, WHICH ARE OUT OF OUR CONTROL. ONCE YOU BUY IT, ANYTHING THAT HAPPENS WILL BE YOUR RESPONSIBILITY. WE DO NOT OFFER A WARRANTY DUE TO THE AGE OF THE COACH. WE PROVIDE THE BEST DESCRIPTION WE CAN, HAVING TESTED THE COACH AND DRIVEN IT OVER 50 MILES, BUT THAT DOES NOT GUARANTEE THAT SOMETHING WON’T GO WRONG. BE AWARE THAT THESE OLDER UNITS NEED LOTS OF LOVE. THEY NEED AN OWNER THAT UNDERSTANDS THEY ARE OLD MACHINES AND THINGS WILL NEED REPAIRED AT SOME POINT!Berning Trailer Sales is your home for vintage Airstreams. We are a 4th generation family owned business, founded in 1953. We sold the very first Airstream out of the Ohio Airstream Factory. Since then, we have sold thousands of new and used Airstreams, and now focus on vintage Airstreams.
