It was confirmed by Airstream to be the only Cummins Diesel 345 Puller produced directly by the factory. It features a 5.9L Cummins Diesel engine with an automatic Allison AT540 Transmission. This combo was a $14,000 option when new. It is ready for immediate use. The original MSRP was $141,784.00, the equivalent of $306,620.94 in today’s dollars.I have copies of the email correspondence between the 2nd owner and Airstream which validates this backstory, which will be included with its sale. This incredible unit comes from its third owner, and was custom ordered from Airstream in 1989. It spent its entire life in climate controlled storage in Texas when not in use, until it was relocated to Indiana in 2021. Currently, this coach is on display in a Vintage RV Museum in an indoor, climate controlled space. This motor coach has been meticulously maintained with oil changes and other routine maintenance as needed. We have over $6,000 in service receipts from July, 2021. Many parts were replaced and serviced at the time, including:* 3 Onboard Marine Batteries* 8 new 11R 22.5 Tires* New Fuel Pump and Regulator* New Brake Master Cylinder* Dash Lights Overhauled* New Fuel Gauge* New Steering Drag Link* Replaced 6 Marker Lights* Fully Serviced (oil change & filter, fuel and hydraulic filters, 35 Point Vehicle Check)This 345LE has a futon sofa and two chairs around the coffee table in the galley, featuring seatbelts to make it easy to carry people along for the ride. We tested the water systems and they are in working order with no leaks. This RV gets approximately 14 miles per gallon, and is one of only several hundred 345 motor coaches ever built, making it incredibly rare and unique (even disregarding its legacy as the only factory built Cummins). Overall, it is in excellent shape for its age and was well loved, with only two noteworthy cosmetic “love marks” (see pictures). It underwent a major service in 2021/2022, which included new tires all around. As such, it is in great running condition and ready to hit the road for a big adventure! The 345LE is known for its extremely spacious and luxurious interior and its Airstream aluminum exterior. There is no other motorhome on the road that receives as much attention as an Airstream. The original MSRP was $141,784.00, the equivalent of $355,177.70 in today’s dollars. Given that this is a one-off example, this motor coach is likely for a traveling family or collector that is looking for something different and unique from other motorhomes. This collectable, custom built 345LE Airstream motor home is aerodynamically shaped with a riveted aircraft type aluminum body construction with aluminum wheels. Included on board is an Onan 6500 GenSet Emerald Plus generator in excellent running condition, two roof air conditioners, two powered vents, leveling jacks, a 3 way refrigerator and freezer which recently was replaced with a newer unit and is in excellent working condition, am/fm cassette player, back up camera (doesn't display an image), microwave oven and four burner range. Beautiful both inside and out, with only minor staining to the carpet and minor denting on the outside (visible in pictures). The oak interior cabinetry also presents extremely well. In addition to replacing many of the mechanical parts, the 3 onboard marine batteries were also replaced in 2021.We tested the water systems and they are in working order with no leaks. The unit includes a kitchen and bathroom sink as well as a shower. Inside the interior, it features factory wood blinds and oak cabinets. Keeping with originality, the front sofa converts automatically into a queen-sized bed with the flip of a switch, facing two club swivel chairs and a solid ivory style coffee table. In the master bedroom, a queen-sized mattress is accessed from three sides in the rear of the coach, with original cedar-lined closets and floor safe. Heating and A/C are reconditioned (1 in back, 1 in front and the A/C in dash). The back AC unit is original and the front unit was replaced a few years ago. The bathroom has a high end commode, all the original countertops and sink, large mirrors and a separate shower. The Galley has a four-burner stovetop, microwave, refrigerator/freezer, built-in spice rack and amazing storage. The dining area also folds down into a small twin bed. All the countertops are classic DuPont™ Corian® solid-surface material, specially engineered to be both visually stunning and long-lasting. All cabinets are solid oak, not pressboard. There are only a few known, very minor flaws which remain to be sorted. There are only a few known, minor flaws which remain to be sorted. The cruise control isn't currently working, the old backup display turns on but doesn't display an image. Additionally, the leveling jacks have not been tested, however the hydraulic filter was recently changed.
