1995 Hornet Damon Class C Motorhome RV 53,400miles Ford NO RESERVE!! Road Ready

Price:
$13,000
Summary:
Used 1995
Location:
Halifax, NC
Description:

Located in Halifax NC zipcode 27839 We bought this RV intentionally to use on a trip cross country (a trip we started planning 5 years ago.) then the plan was to sell it once finished. Just completed an 8,000 mile 6 week multi state trip with my family. (Total of 4. My wife and I and our kids 8 and 10.) We towed a Honda Element with this camper up 10,000 ft elevation and back down with temperatures ranging from 20 degrees (Yellowstone National) to 105 degrees (Salt Lake City Utah). We drove it through 29 states. Bedroom in the back, Cold AC both in the cab and the roof mounted one (ducted too so vents in all areas of the roof for AC and floor for heat , On board Generator 431 hours, Large Fridge Freezer, new foot flush toilet, new mattresses. etc etc, see below for more Between 53 & 54,000 miles right now on the RV Bought for $6,500.00 out of FL on 05/17/2023. (Receipt includes) We then had $7,539.56 worth of work done. (Receipts included see below) Old receipts total $6,533.67 were given to me (receipts included) Again we bought and drove this back to NC from Florida a year ago. We used a tow dolly to bring my Honda Element back. It started, drove and stopped getting us all the way home. Because we were traveling across the US I wanted to make sure we didn't have any issues so if it was questionable we replaced it. This included. The instrument cluster was glitchy. I had it sent to Texas Cluster and rebuilt including bulbs $195.00 Steer Safe $490.00 (google it) Fuel Pump $772.13 (shop installed) All Batteries (1 cab 1 house and 2 additional house batteries for a total of 3. We camped in many parks with no hookups. We took our TV so we added the batteries. at no point did we ever suffer from having no power.) $545.01 Fan Clutch, Belt Tensioner, Belts, Alternator, Radiator, Water Pump, $2300.00 (shop installed) All new tires including taking the best old steer tire as a spare thats mounted on the underside of the rear $1303.26 (shop installed) Mattresses $336.90 Brakes Rebuilt front and rear, new master cylinder and brake booster $964.50 (shop installed) Power Inverter $456.67 (new model) other receipts such as Radio, CB, Interior Flooring (it has old carpet) , Foot valve flush toilet (it has a handle you had to reach behind to flush) , remote steps motor and switch, Reverse Camera, roof coating, etc etc. What's wrong with it?> Water heater inop. Diagnosed to being either the gas on/off valve or the board the harness plugs into. (I think it's the board) It would light correctly and heat up but when it turned off it would go to more of a pilot light vs turning the gas completely off. - not something we could fix on the trip so I plugged the end of the line and took cold showers. Under sink water lines to back off faucet- Started leaking about a week before the end of the trip. I was able to tighten by hand but they started leaking again so I cut it off. You can access all the supply lines in the camper but none have separate shut offs (like a house) so if one has an issue you have to turn all the water off. Upfront to anyone they all need to be rechecked. I'll gladly connect water and show you what I'm talking about for all the above. Ceiling in the back bedroom was repaired/replaced with a thin metal sheet. The screws are exposed and not the most attractive. You can also see the panel above the forward cab was replaced. No leaks. ABS light is on. The shop replaced the right front sensor and checked the system. They cleared the code but after a few minutes the light will come back on. Shop said no codes so they suggested the computer had developed a memory. Again drove it a total of 10k miles and brakes worked the entire time.So in closing. Drive it anywhere. Low Miles, exterior all the way around is solid. NO RUST, Roof is solid, generator works 100% we just finished a trip and are looking to regain back some of our cost. (Why don't we keep it?? The RV is located at my parents farm in Halifax NC. We live in Maryland and have a pull behind camper. We don't need both nor do we have room for both at our house in MD. For us to rent an RV for 6 weeks it was approx $13,000.00 Just to rent one. So I suggested buying, fixing and selling to recoup our cost once the trip was over)Heat works, AC works, Onboard 10gallon propane system works, Stove works (but the push button ignitor does not), refrigerator works on AC and propane, New foot valve flush toilet, shower works, all drains work, storage underneath with all new locks for all the compartments, Generator works, Engine has no leaks nor did it burn any oil, Low miles.
