1997 WINNEBAGO RIALTA 22RD No Reserve 84k miles

Price:
$5,650
Summary:
Used 1997 Winnebago Rialta
Location:
Chico, CA
Description:

1997 Winnebago Rialta RD, depending on how you drive and terrain, mileage varies between 15-20 mpg. It seats eight, four have shoulder belts In regular seats with headrests and four in back dinette have lap-belts. It sleeps four comfortably in two sleeping areas. This Rialta floor plan from 1995-1998 is model RD and from 1999-2005 is model QD It has the highly sought after 1997 Rialta RD- 12 valve, 6-cylinder engine that uses the much cheaper 87 octane gas and has less expensive parts than Rialtas with the 24 valve, 6-cylinder engine. The 24 valve which came after 2000 will have cylinder misfires if not run on more expensive premium high octane gas. In addition, some 24 valve parts can cost 4x more than similar 12 valve parts. The solar panels and inverter run the lights, fridge, outlets and keep coach batteries charged. To run the roof AC, microwave and water heater you must be plugged into shore power since they pull more power than can be inverted from solar. It does have a nice feature when you drive the coolant from the engine heats up the water in the water heater so when you get to your destination you have a few gallons of hot water for indoor or outdoor shower. It is awesome when you’re at the beach and need to rinse off sandy feet. This camper is fully self-contained, roof air conditioning, slide out bathroom with shower, two burner propane stove, microwave, new 110V fridge which runs off solar and shore power hot/cold running water/furnace, dinette that folds down into a double bed, upfront there are 4 captain's chairs, the front two of which rotate to face rear and the center two fold down to convert into a twin size bed. It has a V6 12 valve VW Eurovan front cab and engine, four-speed automatic transmission, trailer hitch, rear storage compartment, grey water, black water, fresh water tanks. The drive train is VW and the coach is manufactured by Winnebago. We have the complete history of vehicle with all receipts and manuals, including the original buyer’s invoice from 1997. It just passed California smog, we purchased it from the third owner in November 2020 with 69,500 miles and it now has 84,709 miles. We put 15k miles with no major problems. The majority of the miles that we put on were over the summer of 2021 when we did a 2-month cross county trip from Chico, California to New York and back. · 8/19/2023- Passed Smog - valid until 11/19/23· 6/28/2022- Two Interstate Group 27DC Deep Cycle Batteries from Costco· New LED Headlights and LED interior lights· Locking T handles installed at back/tailgate storage · 9/9/2021- (78k, $1,400)- oil change and replaced the following: left side cooling fan, left radiator fan, and drive belt tensioner· 5/27/2021- Walmart purchased/installed 5 highly recommended Thunderer Ranger 215/70R15 109R load tires (includes spare).· 5/27/2021- Install new 120 V Magic Chef 2.6 cubic feet compact refrigerator which runs on solar and shore power. · 5/27/21- Installed new Progressive Dynamics PD9245 power converter which stops coach batteries from boiling over and being ruined. · 5/26/2021 (71k miles, $1,600)-oil change, coolant flushed, transmission-drained and serviced, AC serviced, replaced the following: serpentine belt, left front CV axle and oil cooler seal, The third owner purchased in 2012 with 17k miles and added 200W of solar panels and 1000W pure sine inverter. They also added the highly recommended aftermarket transmission cooler installed with 18k miles at German Transaxle in Bend, Oregon and the on dash Scan Gauge-by Linear-Logic. They also installed an aftermarket Bluetooth radio(#XHD7714 by Dual) with detachable face and remote. The Bluetooth works great on it but there is no radio reception but not a concern for us. The second owner had the transmission rebuilt with 16k also at German Transaxle ($5,650), a completely new roof due to hail damage ($5,500)Some things that you might want to fix- not a big issue for us and I would drive it to New York today without hesitation but wanted to let the new buyer know 1. The fabric seats behind the front seat and also the back dinette do have some tears, sun-wear and fabric wear. For the dinette we just put a cover on them. You could just put seat covers on the second row. 2. The Bluetooth radio has no radio channel and it sounds a little tinny when you cast from your phone and play music. I think the antenna isn’t connected to the radio. 3. Windshield has a large crack and should be replaced but it doesn’t affect your driving or visibility (see pic).4. The floor between the 2nd seats was feeling a little soft in a spot so we put a 1” board down so it didn’t get worse but that should be addressed.5. There can sometimes be a light scent of gas. As per the Rialta Owner Group of America Facebook group recommendation to this common problem. I replaced the gas cap, the N80 purge valve, and added a fuel filter after the purge valve but sometimes I can still smell gas. My mechanic did a smoke test said it could be from the gas tank itself. Another possibility is the charcoal canister needs to be replaced or rebuilt.6. The propane door fell open driving through Death Valley and white duct tape is covering the spot that was ground off. Also the trim around door on outdoor shower is bent. You can see in the pics I have a replacement for both of these just haven’t installed them. They will be included but not installed in the sell. If you have questions or want to come see it in Chico, Ca please give me a call or text (530)864-XXXX. Happy Bidding,Mark On Oct-16-23 at 07:13:01 PDT, seller added the following information:I forgot to add Vin which is WV3AH8706VH110798, If you want to look up the history on Carfax. I have a Carfax that the third owner gave me that I can scan and email or text to possible buyers.
