This 1998 Mauck MSV 1120S is one of approximately 100 examples hand-built by Custom Coach Corporation for Mauck Special Vehicles of Worthington, Ohio, and it was acquired by the current owner—the Western Reserve Historical Society—in May 2016. The 10-passenger coach is powered by a rear-mounted 454ci GM Vortec V8 paired with a four-speed 4L80E automatic transmission and is finished in black over beige upholstery. Equipment includes dihedral-hinged front doors, 16″ wheels, air suspension, a rear tag axle, a wet bar, storage cabinets, front and rear air-conditioning systems, telephones, captain’s chairs and bench seats, a Kenwood cassette stereo, and a rearview camera.The fiberglass body is finished in black and features tinted glass, a rooftop air conditioner, a right-side entry door, and a rear liftgate for accessing the cargo compartment. A number of off-the-shelf parts were used during original construction including Ford Aeromax headlights, Jeep Grand Cherokee taillights, Dodge Viper fog lights, and a Toyota Previa windshield-wiper assembly.Chrome 16″ MHT wheels are mounted with LT235/85 Yokohama Geolandar H/T G056 tires. The coach rides on a carbon-steel spaceframe chassis with a 144″ wheelbase and is equipped with an air suspension and an inset rear tag axle. Braking is provided by General Motors–sourced four-wheel discs. The seller notes that a pneumatic line for the rear suspension was replaced in 2022.The forward compartment is accessed through a pair of dihedral-hinged doors and features two bolstered seats upholstered in beige vinyl with pleated cloth inserts and armrests. Equipment includes separate climate-control panels for the forward cabin and the rear passenger area, a Uniden CB radio, a Kenwood cassette stereo, a rearview-camera monitor, and a center console with cupholders.A two-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of instrumentation sourced from a contemporary General Motors truck that includes a 100-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, battery voltage, and fuel level. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 7k miles.The rear cabin features wood paneling on the walls and consoles, plaid accenting upholstery, a white headliner, beige carpeting, and a 6’5″ ceiling height as well as seating provisions consisting of two captain’s chairs and three side-facing benches. Amenities include retractable window shades, overhead and indirect lighting, residential-style power outlets, a wet bar, and telephones.The MSV received a rear-mounted GM Vortec 454ci V8 as its gasoline-fueled option.Power is delivered to two rear wheels through a GM 4L80E four-speed automatic transmission.Manufacturer’s literature and original assembly photos will accompany the vehicle.
