Description:

Great condition, this thing is made to be lived and traveled in! However, after five or so years of RVing around the country, we have relocated to a new house in Prescott Arizona from North Bend Washington, and we have decided to move on from our RV lifestyle and embrace our new community here. So, we are putting our beloved second home, our 2013 Arctic Fox Silver Fox Edition Fifth Wheel up for sale. It is in great condition and ready to go it is turnkey ready so to speak, just add your own food & perhaps a portable grill, clothing, and other personal gear; and a good tow vehicle. Ours is a 2017 F350 King Ranch (SW), and we towed over many a steep mountain pass including those in the Rockies and Tetons with absolute confidence! We are asking $24,500, which is negotiable of course, but we do want to call attention to the value of some significant recent repairs, replacements, and upgrades. We also want you to know everything we know about it before you buy it from us and what to expect. We think there is more value to those who are new to RVing (if you are, you are going to have a learning curve, no way around it!), not so much if youre an old timer with all of the stuff already. Of course, the dirty little secret with all RVs is that something will break and you need be ready and willing to deal with it! Since we are no longer interested in RVing we are including all of the RV related accessories like our EEZTire-TPMS and booster, RV Safe RV 770 NA LMT-S, and our 2.5Kw generator. Plus, as of the end of January 2024, it has new wheels, brakes, and suspension. Tires were replaced in August of 2021. And very recently a new Norcold refrigerator (July of 2022), a new awning November 2023 and a new Microwave, and a new Dometic 320 Series toilet replaced the original in February of 2023. We have not replaced the original 13.5K AC, we have a difficult time believing a 15K would be substantially better, but we did install a Soft Start. It will get the job done, eventually, but if its over 90 degrees you may want to move to a cooler location or get a hotel room. We loved that it was spacious and open with the fabulous floorplan allowing separate living spaces of a full bath, bedroom, and kitchen/living room, and that included enough space to prep and store food and clothing. You really need those spaces, the storage and separation, if youre going to live in an RV with another person, OK? Yet, at 32 feet long (including the rear storage box) it is still relatively short and got us in to most spaces; and it allowed us to camp in some PRIME spots along the way, like on or near beaches from Vancouver Island, BC to San Diego, the Gulf coast, the Great Lakes, the Atlantic, and many spots in between! Some other prime features you will not find in many of these: extra storage: a smaller one in front under the front storage area between the landing gear (we keep the extension ladder there) and a larger box in back to accommodate our boondocking power supply (You can have the Victron MPPT Charge Controller (mounted and installed and hooked up to the 2 solar panels) and the Cell and WiFI signal boosters, but you will have to install them yourself as well as provide your own batteries/inverter/charger etc. We spent a lot on the signal boosters, but really, they were more of a headache than they were worth in general. Maybe a couple of times they were useful. Dumping tanks was never an issue with our fabulous Lippert Waste Master RV Sewer Hose Management System. Also, installed a 5GPM Water pump. Inside we also removed the original love/seat couch and replaced it with two recliners. Our rig is in great condition, but it does have several minor irritations and if you want to hook it up where it sits, add your own food and clothing and go to a full hook-up site you should not have any issues. Thats more than could be said about a new one. If you want to boondock or driveway mooch, youre really going to want some Lithium Batteries with a BMS, and an inverter/charger, at least 2.5-3KW. If you dont know what you are doing, we highly recommend paying up for a professional install, but it should be easy because it is ready to just hook up and secure it. If your hook-up only gives access to 15- or 20-Amp outlets, you will do fine, just dont try to operate more than one big current draw (MW, Keurig, AC, furnace, etc.) at a time. Its always more fun to hook up to a potable water supply than listen to the water pump cycling. We will include our pressure regulators, but most of the time we didn't use them. We liked at least 60 psi and probably hooked up to 80 more than once, but several were up in the 160psi range and we didn't think we wanted to try that, so we had kept a regulator on hand. We upgraded to a 5 GPM water pump and it is plenty powerful enough, able to someone doing dishes and someone else taking a shower, but the hot water will not last long that way! Plus, it will fill up your grey tanks plenty fast! Speaking of tanks, the tank level indicators will probably be your first irritation; ours dont work and the several repair shops we have taken it to do not think there is a good solution, despite endless offers of solutions by so many companies! Gunk gets on them. You will know when the grey tanks are full when they start to back up into the sink or shower drains. We had some other tank issues when the tanks would also start to leak onto the ground, the forward tank leak was found and given a repair, however, they (Wescraft RV in Fife WA) would not guarantee it, though it seems to have worked since. The rear (kitchen) tank leak no one seems to be able to find or replicate while in the shops. The black tank fills up much slower than the greys and has not been an issue for us. Empty often and flush a lot! Another irritation is when raising and lowering the landing gear. The motor works fine, but frequently blows the fuse under heavier loads as when raising the landing gear to hook up, so just keep an extra fuse and needle nose pliers handy to change it out. It seems to be less of an issue if we raise and then let it sit for a few minutes, before continuing. However, the part where you have to raise the lower legs into their stowed position can be more irritating, especially when you want to be on your way ASAP! We have developed a couple of techniques that work though. When we were newbies (well, thats a relative term!), we would put the rear stabilizers out along with a Kingpin Stabilizer when setting up, but we found putting them out and taking them in as often as we moved, more irritating than effective and after forgetting to take them in before raising the landing gear they were destroyed and could not get replacements, so we installed some scissor jacks permanently that can be easily operated with a drill. We still never used them though. One last little irritation: Our new refrigerator. Its a 2-way (not 3), so it is propane or 120VAC and supposedly will auto switch. We have never observed it switching to or from 120VAC, but if its on 120VAC it has been as dependable as the power. Propane is not dependable, it will suddenly start alarming (beeping) there is no propane when everything else is working fine (Cooktop & Furnace). We have had 3 different shops look at it, and they said everything looked good, but it always works when we are anywhere near a shop! Refrigerators are power sucks; this one doesnt use as much power, but in warm areas it will cycle a lot. Propane, when it works, is so much more energy efficient! If you want to do longer term boondocking with a dependable refrigerator, you really need it to work on propane, so this is a definite downside. Here is a list of the additional upgrades and added accessories: Welded additional frames for storage in back and front, enclosed with wood for storageReplaced inside gas detector (near the floor, by the door) in 2018 they last 5 years and are required to be replaced. No batteries, not hard, just irritating.2 AGM SLI31MDC Duracell Ultra BCI Group 31M 12V 105AH (March 2019)Victron Energy BMV-712 Smart Battery MonitorTwo 235W Solar panels (mounted on the roof)Victron Energy SmartSolar MPPT 150V 35 amp 12/24/36/48-Volt Solar Charge Controller (Bluetooth)Lippert 359724 Waste Master 20 Extended RV Sewer Hose Management System (plus ABS storage containers)Westinghouse iGen 2500 generator, plus all of the 30A and 50A power cords, dog bones and adapters2 Maxx Air 00-07500K MaxxFans Deluxe with RemotesA new bathroom fan - Hike Crew 14 RV Roof Vent Fan, but it didnt fit well. Second trip September 2018 hit roof and gutter of the check-in office at Lake Chelan RV Park driver side, damaged the top driver corner of the trailer. Repaired at Maple Grove RV in Everett WA. September 2019 Crossing Rockies in southern Colorado heavy traffic low fuel forced into an unplanned fuel stop and damaged the left slide and waste outlet on one of the bollards. Repaired at Wescraft RV in Fife WA.September 2020, 12V Converter died when the sink drain came disconnected or something and flooded the converter. Repaired the sink drain and replaced the converter with a new one of the same model.August 2021 - St Augustine, replaced all of the trailer tires. For a few months we had a leak plaguing us on the slide side of the bed. Eventually we traced it to a problem with the forward seal, which for some reason was no longer wide enough to do the job. We never found a satisfactory explanation, but a wider seal was installed and leaks have not been an issue since.September 2022 narrow road with no shoulder and oncoming traffic forced us into rocks on the passenger side. Destroyed awning and damaged door along with scrapes. Repaired at the National Indoor RV Center (NIRVC) in Las Vegas November 2022, repaint, new decals, and new awning and door (not original manufacture though). The door has continued to be a minor issue, it was further repaired at NIRVC in Surprise, then finally by Northern Arizona RV Collision in Prescott Valley January 2024. Sometimes still needs a little pressure to get it to close or open.Last, but not least, we would want a certified check and we would make an appointment at the nearby Footworks. They can notarize and transfer the title. Email contact is preferred, but you can call me (Don) at 425-442-XXXX
