If you are looking to take that cross country bucket list trip as a solo camper or couple, this little sleeping pod/camper will easily save you $1000s in hotel expenses and provide absolute travel freedom. The ultimate solution from trying to sleep in the back of a car or pickup bed. Bring your own comfortable bed along with you and get out on that weekend adventure to the woods or beach. Or finally take that bucket list trip,, travel the continent, save tons on lodging and still have this valuable little camper at the end of your journeys. With extensive research, you can find a couple happy owners of these on the internet with amazing stories and all the good and bad about traveling with a small lightweight teardrop sleeping pod. I will attempt to describe all that I can regarding this camper and what I have learned. First off, I started this ad with the comment "very rare". You most likely have never seen one, since they were only manufactured for one year, in 1989, by Teardrop American, Inc., in Wenachee, Washington. They called this model the American "Outbacker". With detailed research, you can find only a couple of them on the internet that have been customized and retro decorated on the TearDrop FaceBook group or basic search for the "Outbacker TearDrop".In the camper's 100% original state, they marketed it as a teardrop camping (sleeping) pod that weighed less than 400 pounds (which was a flat deck trailer with an easily removeable pod that weighs only 225#). Their were a few common issues with these pods, as they aged, over decades of time. The main issue that most owners have commented on, is the "heat related sag". Which is a common issue with a pod that is manufactured and molded out of all High Density Polyethylene plastic. My pod (like most others) has been fixed and modified multiple times, during it's lifetime, to account for this issue. With the recent upgrade from 4.80x12" tires to new heavier duty 5.30x12 tires, I have raised the deck by 3 inches, to adequately clear the tires and fix the trailer sag issue. It also appears that the prior owner may have beefed up and extended the front tongue. The camper has newer tail lights, the bearings were just freshly repacked and I just replaced both door lift shocks. This trailer is mostly designed for use as a lightweight sleeping pod. There is NO Porta potty, water tanks, electrical, heating or plumbing in this camper. Originally these had a small camp stove and sink built into the back trunk. As you can see in pictures, they were removed from this teardrop. This camper is being sold as pictured and described and DOES have an open, free and clear Arizona title. Camper can be picked up in BigWater, UT. Must be paid for immediately and buyer must pick this camper up within 60 days. This unusual and rare camper will sell quickly. As there are few, if any, similar type camp trailers that are this small and lightweight for convenient travel and storage that are suitable to most vehicles on the road. For those that are more seriously interested in size and dimensions, hopefully the following will help....Exterior overall length (including tongue is 13'6", overall outside width is 6'10" and exterior ground to top is 60". Interior height from floor deck (without any mattress or sleeping pad) is 36" high. Bed platform measures 52"wide by 72" long>>WITH AT LEAST 12" OF EXTRA SPACE AROUND ALL FOUR SIDES OF BED
