Excellent Condition former DENVER RTD city bus retired from use due to COVID shut-downs and reduced service schedule with RTD. Perfectly maintained Cummins Diesel engine with regular maintenance by dedicated RTD professional crews. I bought the bus planning to turn it into a cross country RV with a custom build similar to a super XPlus size Sprinter Van, but with my kids in school I am just not seeing when I can realistically go living on the road for a long period of time so I decided to sell this at my cost due to change of life plans. With a custom build out it would be a perfect vehicle for a tour bus for a band that needs beds, kitchen and bathroom to stay in while on tour but also a freight area to haul band equipment etc. unlike an RV. I began unbolting the seats to empty the floor for beginning to build a custom interior but only spent a few hours on that. Seems to me like a day long or day and a half project to unbolt and remove the rest of the seats. Bus is ready to drive. It drives perfectly and engine and transmission are perfect. It will likely need a new starting battery after sitting parked and not driven all winter, but other than $100 for a new starting battery it is ready to make a cross country road trip. Only issue at all is I haven't figured out how to use the automatic door opener so I had to open the doors manually. But I think that's just becuase I didn't know what button to push. Since it only has two axles I'm pretty sure it does not require a special driver's license unless you are using it for commercial passenger use, but as an RV you can drive it with a regular license according to my homework, but don't quote me on that. Different states may have different rules. I'm not sure. I just know that in Colorado nobody has given me any trouble driving it around just with a regular license. It has tons of power. Air system and brakes and steering and all that very excellent. I would not hesitate at all to drive this bus coast to coast exactly as it is. Message me with your number to discuss it. This is a no reserve auction. I am moving and I don't have a place to park the bus at my new house. It can stay where it is for a month or two at most and then it needs to be moved. So I am selling it at a no reserve auction to make sure it finds a new home quickly. Also hopefully a good home and someone who will restore it and drive it many hundreds of thousands of miles across the country. These busses cost nearly half a million dollars new, but because of the cost they are usually only purchased by cities and government agencies using public grant money. This one has been professionally maintained and was in perfect driving condition carrying passengers right up until the week before the city of Denver auctioned it off. The city of Denver has an amazing fleet maintenance department with dozens of mechanics and this bus was maintained in perfect working order in every way up until it was sold. They removed the console for scanning bus passes and taking money, but other than that having been removed it is a perfect condition vehicle that could go back to work carrying passengers just with a new battery.
